When I was 17
my Ma said, "Boy, you don't listen to me."
I said I know
Mama, I know.
Now I'm 29
and I say I been there 'cause I done my time
and now I know...
but what do I really know?
When I see
a clear blue sky
it brings peace
to my blue mind
and it's all I own.
To my clear blue sky
I know the clouds will roll
in time
This much I know - by now, I know
that what do I really own?
Looks like I may never see the rain
looks like this may be the day
that good sunshine's gonna stay
but each time
I know
I'll change my mind
each time.
When I was just 17
my Ma said "Boy, you should listen to me"
Now I know.
Mama, now I know
that what did I really know,
and what can I ever know?

This album is an absolute classic and the price is unbeatable for high quality listening. I wish more of Derek’s work was accessible through bandcamp, mainly Taking Up Your Precious Time. I’d love to see that pressed on CD or Vinyl at some point. Anyway, A Color Map of the Sun is well worth the $0.50. I highly recommend that you add it to your collection today!!! D-Mac
